May 2007: The Hulda-Pangkok Gesamtschule introduces itself:

Each year the students of the 8th grade plants trees together with the organisation "Wald am Rhein" in the former meadow landscape at the Rhine in Düsseldorf. 120 students take the spade and dibble around 300 plants. Until today 2607 trees were planted, financed by donations of companies, organisations, schools and private people. The theme of forestry is part of the biology and social studies and involves geological, historical, economical, ecological and social political aspects. On the occasion of the 10th anniversary the experience of the forestry project was processed into an exhibition that was financially supported by the foundation "Environment and culture" of the state of North Rhine Westphalia.
