Global Ambassador Council 2025 Application Now Open

The climate and biodiversity crises aren’t waiting, and neither can we. Around the world, young people are already rising to meet this moment with courage, creativity, and action. At Plant-for-the-Planet, we believe youth aren’t just the leaders of tomorrow. They must be at the center of change today. Yet far too often, young voices are sidelined from the decisions that shape their future.

That’s why we’re calling on passionate, committed young changemakers to step forward and apply for the Global Ambassador Council for the term 2025–2027.

What is the Global Ambassador Council

The Global Ambassadors Council is the official youth leadership body within Plant-for-the-Planet, representing our global community of thousands of Climate Justice Ambassadors. Our council co-creates, amplifies, and guides the direction of our powerful youth-led movement of youth for climate justice and ecosystem restoration. Members co-create campaigns, raise their voices at the UN Climate Conferences, mentor Climate Justice Ambassadors around the world, and speak up where others stay silent.

Who should apply?

Your voice matters – we’re looking for passionate, committed young people ready to step into leadership on a global scale. If you’re someone who:

• Is under 23 years old by 30 August 2025 (there’s no minimum age!)
• Cares deeply about climate justice, biodiversity, and the power of youth and children
• Wants to collaborate, listen, and lead in a diverse, international team
• Has fresh ideas, local projects, or a clear vision for the impact you want to make
• Brings lived experience, community action, and a desire to grow your leadership globally
• Has roughly 10 to 20 hours per month (depending on your involvement in specific projects or campaigns). Active participation is expected throughout the 2-year term.

Then we want to hear from you. We welcome young people from all backgrounds, no matter where you’re from or how your climate journey began. What matters most is your commitment, creativity, and drive to make a difference.

Joining the Global Ambassador Council is a chance to grow, connect, and make a difference. As a member, you will:

• Be the voice of your region and youth worldwide, representing your community
• Lead and inspire projects and campaigns that empower others
• Take part in the annual Youth Summit and other key Plant-for-the-Planet events
• Get access to training, mentoring, and a global network of changemakers and experts
• Develop your leadership and advocacy skills to become an even stronger agent of change
• Amplify your impact with the support of a worldwide movement backing your vision
• Be featured in blogs, campaigns, and global communications
• Earn a certificate and letter of recommendation to recognize your dedication

The world needs young leaders who care deeply and act with courage. At Plant-for-the-Planet, young people have always been at the heart of everything we do. We believe that youth aren’t just the future or victims of the climate crisis, they are already leading the way in the fight for climate justice. 

We are a global movement empowering young people and organizations to restore forest ecosystems and fight for climate justice. To do so, we educate young people, restore ecosystems, conduct restoration research, and provide free software tools and restoration advice for organizations around the world.

The Global Ambassador Council is one way we make this vision real: by giving the voice directly into the hands of young people across the world. Join us!
