Plant-for-the-Planet
Just after the end of Rio+20, an Academy took place in Nova Friburgo in Rio de Janeiro. In January 2011 the city experienced devastating floods and landslides – the worst climate catastrophe in the history of Brazil. A local conservation organization organized the Academy and is advising the children on their planting actions. The reforestation is important but also very dangerous.
