First Plant-for-the-Planet Academy in Milan!

On Sunday November 24th, 2013 our first Milan-Academy was held at the premises of the eco-sustainable Hotel Milano Scala. While located in Milan’s city center, it proved to be an ideal place for the event as the 55 empowered Climate Justice Ambassadors were able to plant 20 trees at the wonderful Hotel’s sky terrace. Two days after these scotch broom trees were transferred to the Alzaia del Naviglio Grande for them to grow on earth thanks to the initiative of the sponsor company LifeGate, Italian company leader in sustainability know-how.

The Climate Justice Ambassador’s lecture was presented by Ariane, who since April 2013 performs as Vice-President of Plant-for-the-Planet Children’s Global Board. She traveled from her hometown Bolzano and gave a very well received presentation explaining to the Academy participants the essential aspects of global warming and climate change and calling her peers to action.

The children, their parents and the moderation team were indulged at all times by the staff of Hotel Milano Scala to whom we thank very kindly. The organization of this Academy was possible thanks to the support of the companies FedEx Express EMEA and LifeGate.
