We’re happy to announce that we became Technical Partner of AFR100. The African Forest Landscape Restoration Initiative is a country-led effort to bring 100 million hectares of land in Africa into restoration by 2030. AFR100 contributes to the Bonn Challenge, the African Resilient Landscapes Initiative (ARLI), the African Union Agenda 2063, the Sustainable Development Goals and other targets.
In its letter, the AFR100 Secretariat says it recognized our successes and long standing experience on youth empowerment and supporting youth-led tree planting movements worldwide, including on the African continent.
Likewise they congratulate us on enabling forest and landscape restoration programs in 15 of our African partner countries via our Plant-for-the-Planet App.
Find projects such as Plant-for-Ethiopia, Tree Adoption Uganda, Forest Restoration in the Taita Hills (Kenya), or Greening Burundi on our App.
Both the AFR Secretariat and Plant-for-the-Planet are convinced that our collaboration and knowledge sharing will help us on achieving the 100 million hectares target of the AFR100 Initiative together by 2030.
Help us to achieve this goal by donating for a tree planting project today!
