Mexico: Getting kids excited for environmental activism and planting trees

More than 60 children from 4 different elementary schools took part in the Academy in Vicente Guerrero Primary School in San Cristóbal de las Casas in the South of Mexico on April 23rd. The children were especially excited about planning their own actions, such as reforestation, poster campaigns about protecting the environment, clean-ups in their neigbourhoods and working together with the city authorities, to get them involved in the climate activities. We are looking forward to hear about the activities of these new Climate Justice Ambassadors. Because the school didn’t have enough place to plant lots of trees, only 5 trees were planted. But every Ambassador got a tree to take home and plant at a place where he or she can look after it.
