Fire in Spain

This is not the kind of phone calls you like to receive: In Granada, where we have been planting trees for several years, there has been a forest fire! One of our restoration areas in the Anillo Verde project was also affected. Almost 17,000 trees were lost because two young people illegally barbecued in extremely dry conditions and caused the fire. In addition, it was exceptionally hot for the end of May, with 34 degrees Celsius.

This was a shocking setback, but there was no way to prevent it. But there is no doubt at all: the trees will soon be replaced: We urgently need them to cool down our planet.
