Election of new Global Board starts 22nd March

The online-voting for the Plant-for-the-Planet Global Board 2012/2013 starts on the 22nd March!

Starting this year for the first time, there will be two Global Boards: one for the Children’s Initiative, for children aged from 8 to 14 and one for the Youth Initiative, for young people aged from 15 to 21 years. Together they will represent the Plant-for-the-Planet Initiative, which invites everyone around the world to become a member.

In each of the Global Boards there will be 14 members who represent the different world regions.

Be part of it and vote for your representatives! Or take even more responsibility and apply for the Global Board!

Requirements:

– high level of motivation to lobby for climate justice
– take joy in inspiring children and youth
– aged between 8 to 14 (Children’s Global Board) or from 15 to 21 years (Youth Global Board) as of the 1st of July 2012
– available between the 1st of July 2012 and 30th of June 2013 for the monthly board meetings of the Global Board via the Internet
– good level of English to participate actively in the monthly sessions of the Global Board
– One adult coordinator (e.g. a parent) to support you in your activities

From 22nd March: Presentation of the candidates on www.plant-for-the-planet.org and start of the online-voting.

22nd April: Presentation of the Global Board election results. Start of the one month-long online-voting for the Global President and Vice-President.

22nd June: Presentation of the President and Vice-President election result.
