Plant-for-the-Planet
SANTA LOLA FOUNDATION performed six Plant-for-the-Planet Academies in the first quarter of 2014 in different districts of the city of San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic: Las Colinas I and II, Los Guandules and 24 de Abril, counting on the support of Evangelical College Moriah, Elementary Schools Las Colinas I and II and April 24 and Casa Fundación de Amor, which have allowed us to train a total of 76 children and adolescents aged 8 to 16 years, which become new Ambassadors for Climate Justice.
From Friday 10 January 2014 the Plant-for-the-Planet Academies began. The one in Casa Fundación de Amor was developped over 5 weeks, one week for each module. In other schools, the Academy was held in 2 weeks, with 3 modules per week, including the planting of trees by children and adolescents.
At present there are 91 active Climate Justice Ambassadors in the Dominican Republic!
