Plant-for-the-Planet
The activity took place in Sopo, around the capital Bogota, on December 9th, 2013 with 54 students coming from the Centro Comunitario SEK. This institute is specialized in giving support to children in vulnerability nationwide in Colombia.
The morning lecture was presented by the Colombian Climate Justice Ambassador María Paz Giraldo, student of the Edad de Oro school.
The new empowered Climate Justice Ambassadors were allowed by the Sopo municipality to plant 100 native trees planted at the “Lord of the Stone Sanctuary” (Santuario del Señor de la Piedra). We thank also the municipality for providing the trees, snacks and transportation for all Academy participants.
