Plant-for-the-Planet
In collaboration with The Istituto Comprensivo di Alzano Lombardo, Plant-for-the-Planet Italy has organized an Academy for Climate Justice Ambassadors on the 5th and 6th of July, 2021. Due to Covid-19 the Academy had be postponed from its original date, the 22th of March, 2020.
In the Academy the young students were trained and educated to be Climate Justice Ambassadors. This happened by teaching them about our current environmental issues, pointing out possible solutions and showing them ways to take action on their own. In our case it is planting trees. The students were taught about this process and afterwards practiced by planting trees altogether.
A total of 83 boys and girls participated in the Academy and became Ambassadors of Climate Justice.
In order to guarantee greater security measures due to Covid, the group was divided into two days thus organizing two Academies: Saturday 5th for the students of Alzano, Sunday 6th for the students of the external delegations from the Istituti Comprensivi di Pontenossa, Gazzaniga, Nembro, Villa di Serio and Pradalunga, Scanzorosciate, Ranica, Cenate Sotto and Almenno San Bartolomeo.
