Meet the Global Board Members of 2024/25!

We are thrilled to introduce our new Global Board members for 2024/2025! This year’s board comprises 10 passionate and dedicated Climate Justice Ambassadors from across the globe. Throughout the year they will bring their expertise, motivation and a shared commitment to drive our global community of Climate Justice Ambassadors in the fight for climate justice.

The Role of the Global Board

The Global Board is an essential part of Plant-for-the-Planet’s structure, comprising at least 8 young leaders representing the different regions of the UNEP Model. The primary goal of the Global Board is to inspire, drive, and amplify the voices of our community of Climate Justice Ambassadors. For one year, they work together to grow our global community and implement projects with an international impact.

Board members also represent Plant-for-the-Planet at various platforms and events through speeches, press conferences, public statements, and campaigns. In doing so, they raise awareness about the climate crisis and empower our global community of Climate Justice Ambassadors to inspire others through action.

Ambassador Awards

The Ambassador Awards celebrate the exceptional efforts of Climate Justice Ambassadors worldwide. This program recognizes and supports the outstanding Children and Youth of Plant-for-the-Planet, inspiring others to follow in their footsteps. Winners, divided into age groups, will  receive an achievement certificate and prizes ranging from gifts from “The Good Shop” to exclusive opportunities like a travel grant to the 2024 Youth Summit in Berlin, Germany.

Climate Justice Social Media Hub

This Global Board project will bring together Climate Justice Ambassadors from around the world in a collaborative and creative effort to amplify their voices and stories, raise awareness on climate justice, and promote ecosystem restoration through engaging content on social media.
