On August 20, Plant-for-the-Planet Mexico suspended work on the planting site on the Yucatán Peninsula due to two positive corona cases reported in the team.
As of today, the first planters are returning to the planting site – for safety reasons this only applies to vaccinated people with an additional negative Corona test. Most of our team members in Mexico have already been vaccinated.
Our notification of 8/20/2021:
Due to two positive Corona cases in the team, Plant-for-the-Planet interrupts the planting work in Constitución. The work will be paused at least until August 29 At that time, we will reevaluate whether we can resume planting beginning August 30. This decision was made by the Constitución managers in the interest of the safety of our employees. We will keep you updated as we know more about the resumption of planting. Of course, since the beginning of the Corona pandemic, we have complied with all the necessary protective measures (minimum distances, hygiene rules, wearing masks) and offer the possibility of vaccination.
